Intelligent Site Generation

In a modern AV System there are numerous portals that IT managers need to keep an eye on. Vantage aggregates these services into a single pane of glass. To take it a step further we have introduced the concept of Intelligent Site Generation. This feature allows for the automatic creation of sites and rooms based on the data that is being fed into Vantage.

When a new system is added to your network with a single click Vantage can link all of that systems integrations together and make it available in our monitoring and reporting features as a site or room entity. This feature is especially useful for large deployments where the manual creation of sites and rooms would be time-consuming and error-prone.

Presentation Products leverages GPT to synthesize the data from the integrations and create a site and room structure that is easy to navigate and understand.

Site Builder

In Vantage, filtering by company, site, or room is a common task. The site builder is a tool that allows you to create and manage sites and rooms in Vantage. This guide will walk you through the process of creating a site and adding rooms to it.

Sites and Rooms

A Vantage Site is primarily a physical location that integrations and rooms are associated with.

Integrations

These are the various APIs from which Vantage is gathering data. The integrations available to you may vary.

Note: If the names within the integration are not correct, this needs to be addressed within the integration itself and cannot be changed within Vantage. Syncing the integration will update the names within Vantage, which can take up to one hour to complete.

Q360 Site - Tickets

When creating a Vantage Site, you are required to select a single Q360 Site. PPI will use this to determine the location of the site, and Vantage will use this as the name of the site within the app.

Vantage Support Agents - Devices

Multiple Vantage Support Agents can be associated with a single site. This is used to determine which devices are associated with the site.

Note: The Primary and Secondary naming convention can be used when employing a backup agent. In the event that the primary agent is down, the secondary agent will take over. Both agents still need to be added to the site.

UC Platforms

The current UC platforms supported are Cisco Webex and Zoom. Multiple UC platforms can be associated with a single site, although it is more common to have a single UC platform per site.

Rooms

Rooms are the physical locations or sub-systems within a site that are being monitored by Vantage. When building rooms, your options will be filtered by the integrations associated with the site. If you do not see the room you are looking for, you may need to add the integration to the site.

Q360 Machines - Tickets

When creating a room, you are required to select at least one Q360 Machine. This is used to determine the location of the room, and Vantage will use this as the name of the room within the app.

VSA Rooms - Devices

Multiple Vantage Support Rooms can be associated with a single room. This is used to determine which devices are associated with the room.

UC Rooms

The current UC rooms supported are Cisco Webex and Zoom. Multiple UC rooms can be associated with a single room, although it is more common to have a single UC room per room.

Active Status

Both sites and rooms have an Active field. This is used to determine if they are visible within Vantage. When creating a site or room, they default to Active. If you need to deactivate a site or room, you can do so by editing it after creation.
